W4 Youth is a community youth movement for 11-19 year olds in West London. First established in 2009, the group is now based in Southfield Recreation Ground and St Peter’s Church Hall for all its activities.
Our Vision
The Founder set up W4 Youth in 2009 following an incident where her son, then in Year 7, one day after school, was shot in the face by older youths who he did not know.
He survived the attack and wanted to turn this awful, negative experience into something positive and so at his suggestion his mother started W4 Youth.
W4 Youth is designed to give young people in the area a safe place to go and something positive to do. It is free for those who attend.
The vision is to build a community hub in Southfield Recreation Ground for the use of W4 Youth and the whole community. This vision is soon to be realised with W4 Youth in a joint venture with Ealing Council, supported by Rocks Lane Sports Trust, to develop the youth & community centre by 2026.
In the meantime W4 Youth has a Hub in Southfield Recreation Ground from where it runs its activities alongside St Peter’s Church Hall.
Activities
Football
Football is at the heart of W4 Youth. Over the years W4 Youth Rangers has had league teams in the Middlesex and Harrow Youth Football Leagues. We are always looking for players to join our teams for the Rocks Lane Friday Night 5s.
Street Dance
Since we started W4 Youth Street Dance has been a way of young people expressing themselves through music. Our Dance is led by the dance leaders from ‘Ghost Dance’ a UK award winning dance troupe.
Musical Theatre
Young people can really express themselves through music and drama and Musical Theatre is a great combination of the two. A really fun class where energetic routines are learnt.
Sports coaching
From Boxercise, basketball, table tennis and many other sports, our coaches are always ready to do something new with the young people of W4 Youth.

The Founders
The founder members of W4 youth were: Oli, Joe, Uchenna, Georgie, Alice P-C and Alice D, Ella D, Ella M, Coral, Keri, Louis, Alex, Joseph, David and Chloe
The Founder Members are now all in their late 20s and are still big supporters of the W4 Youth movement with many of them having become highly successful young adults.
