Raise Your Helping Hand
W4 Youth is a community youth project for 11-19 year olds in West London. Set up in 2009 the group now has over 300 young people involved in its activities.
After her son was shot in the face one afternoon after school, Sally Chacatte, Founder and Chair of W4 Youth created the charity with the vision to build a youth and community centre in W4 to give the young people of the area somewhere safe to go and something good to do 7 days a week. This vision is soon to be realised as the charity is now in a joint venture with Ealing Council to develop the youth & community centre in Southfield Park by 2025.
Football is at the heart of W4 Youth. Over the years W4 Youth Rangers has had league teams in the Middlesex and Harrow Youth Football Leagues. We are always looking for players to join our teams.
Street & Contemporary Dance
Since we started W4 Youth Street Dance has been a way of young people expressing themselves through music. Our Dance is led by the dance leaders from ‘Ghost Dance’ a UK award winning dance troupe.
Photography, Art & Drama
We think that young people can express themselves through photography, art and drama and although not a regular club we have had many independent classes over the years for the arts.
From kick boxing to sports training, basketball, table tennis and many other sports our coaches are always ready to do something new with the young people of W4 Youth
The founder members of W4 youth were: Oli, Joe, Uchenna, Georgie, Alice P-C and Alice D, Ella D, Ella M, Coral, Keri, Louis, Alex, Joseph, David and Chloe
The Founder Members are now all over 24 and are still supporters of the W4 Youth movement.
